Well well well! First person on this website to write a blog- Aren”t I the lucky one! Damian and I had intended to go to China a week earlier to settle down ”n’’stuff. However, obtaining the working visa invitation is taking longer than we had thought. This is because the Chinese embassy in China, Hebei Province, require us to have a BA degree rather than a BSc. Also, as we do not hold any teaching certificates the embassy is reluctant to give us the invitation letter. So, as you can imagine, we are both frustrated and we don”t really have a plan B! Anyhow, the guy in charge of recruiting foreign teachers is really helpful and has kept us informed about the situation regarding the visa. He is trying very hard to help us get to China as quickly as possible.

There is not much we can do unless we get this visa sorted. All we can do is sit and moan (well that’’s what Yuki does)! Anyways, enough of me for now - we will keep you updated and let you know when we have more bad news.
